
BASIC POLICE CYCLIST COURSE

The San Antonio ISD Police Department will be hosting an IPMBA Basic Police Cyclist Course August 10 – 14, 2008. This is a 40 hour course in which students will receive TCLEOSE credit. Upon successful completion of this class, students will be certified as a police cyclist.
Students will learn how to safely and effectively ride in all types of traffic, clear hazardous obstacles, safely conduct traffic stops, ride up and down stairs, and safely pursue suspects who flee on foot. Students will also learn community policing techniques and the advantages of bicycle patrol.
Registration fee for this class will be $180.00 per student. All materials will be provided (including refreshments).
The class will be taught by IPMBA instructor Officer E. Talamantes, PCI #983.
