The Vision

Our Science Program is based on:

  • equity and excellence at all levels,

  • hands-on, process-oriented instruction that makes full use of problem-solving techniques, technology and appropriate teaching strategies within safe and adequately supplied facilities

  • consistent and sustained implementation of standards-based instructional practices and curriculum following the SAISD Scope and Sequence in Science for content areas at all campuses and grade levels

  • needs-based professional development for teachers that will ensure that science instruction is relevant, interesting, challenging and seeks to promote the cultural diversity of all students in real world applications that includes a future filled with technology

  • all students of the 21st Century meet the requirements to enter higher levels of education
