SAISD to auction off portable classroom buildings
As more and more San Antonio School District students are profiting from permanent classroom facilities through the Bond Construction Program so may savvy shoppers benefit from their good fortune. Portable classroom buildings the District no longer needs will be available for purchase at a SAISD auction. Prospective bidders must register on auction day prior to the scheduled start:
9 a.m., this Saturday, June 29
at Dodson's House Moving Company, SW Loop 410
at Highway 16 South
The buildings will be open for inspection 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. this Friday, June 28, at the auction site, Dodson's House Moving Company.
The opening auction price for a portable classroom building is $9,000 for this public auction.
Successful bidders must pay a deposit in cash, by personal check or cashier's check of at least 25 percent of the final sale price. The final balance - by personal check or cashier's check - must be paid no later than 4:30 p.m. July 1st, at the SAISD's Construction Management Department, 1702 N. Alamo St., Suite 307.
The portable classroom buildings are sold as is and all sales will be final. They must be moved from Dodson's House Moving Company at the new owner's expense no later than 60 calendar days from the date of the auction. For more information call 271-3322 or visit www.saisd.net.
