of State and National CATE Winners
CONGRATULATIONS
to each of the 133 Career and Technology students and their teachers
who advanced and placed in their respective state competitions.
All eight high schools were represented and students earned first
place awards and “Best in Show” in the following program
areas: Family, Consumer Science; Health Science Technology; Graphic
Arts; Advertising Design; Marketing Education; Business Education;
Cosmetology; Computer Maintenance and Repair; Animation; Media
Technology; Photography; Building Trades; Criminal Justice; and
Automotive Collision.

Lopez will compete in Nashville, Tennessee. Their marketing teacher

Health Science Technology student

in Orlando, Florida. Gale Minton is the health science teacher.
Cosmetology student from Brackenridge
High School – J. Tran will compete in Kansas City, Missouri.
The cosmetology instructor is Elena Ponce.
