Formative Mini Assessments & Benchmarks
Formative Assessments SAISD administers short assessments in grades 1-12 in all core subjects (math, science, social studies, and reading/language arts) in order to measure student's matery of the learning objectives and to identify students that need additional time and support. The assessments include between 10-15 items and take approximately 30-45 minutes. Parents can request their child's FMA scores. Benchmarks SAISD administers benchmarks in grades 3-12 in all subjects elligible for state testing. The benchmarks are simulations of the state tests to provide information on how well students will perform in the subject matter they have already been taught and to highten focus on subject matter that students are having difficulty in mastering. The benchmark results are also used to determine tutoring needs. Parents can request their child's benchmark scores. |
