PRINT ORDERS:

Print orders for the Literacy Simulations, Grades 4, 7 and English I and English II will be distributed via e-mail to campus assessment contacts, Monday, January 13, 2014 and are due Tuesday, January 21st at 5:00 PM.

Print orders for all other Simulations and CBAs will be distributed via e-mail to campus assessment contacts, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 and are due Friday, January 31st at 5:00 PM.

Only PDF Form data sent via e-mail will be accepted. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT A SCANNED COPY OF YOUR FORM as these cannot be processed. If you encounter any difficulty with the Print Order form, please call the Curriculum Management Department at (210) 554-2640. We will log in to your computer remotely and determine the best way to correct any issue you may be experiencing.

DELIVERY:

Secondary Literacy SImulations will be delivered to CBA Campus Contacts by Tuesday, February 11. 4th Grade Writing is available for pickup at Publications.

All other SImulations and CBAs will be delivered to CBA Campus Contacts by Monday, February 17, weather permitting.

Please verify your assessments upon receipt to ensure that you have all needed assessments. If you have not received you assessments or are short documents, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can correct the situation before the holiday.

EDUSOFT ANSWER SHEETS:

Literacy Simulations will be available online and copies of the assessments will be posted by Tuesday, February 11.

All other Simulations and CBAs will be available online and copies of the assessments will be posted by Friday, February 14.

SCANNING DEADLINE:

The deadline to have ALL ASSESSMENTS scanned into Edusoft is Friday, March 7 by 5:00 PM.

The CBA Answer Keys have been posted on the CMS Assessment Tab.

2nd Grade Math CBA February 2014 Assessment Correction, English and Spanish- The answer to item number 10 was changed from D to A on both the posted key and in Edusoft. Please rerun any reports generated before 4:00 PM on February 24. No other action is required on your part.

US History Modified Simulation February 2014 Answer Document- The answer document was generated with four answer choices instead of three. The correct answers are coded into Edusoft and the extra answer choice will not affect student scores. No action is required on your part.

 

Guidelines:
  • Teachers can read 1st and 2nd grade CBAs aloud to students, unless otherwise directed in the assessment Teacher Directions.
  • CBAs should be implemented within regular classroom instruction. Specific assessment schedules should NOT be created.
  • Simulations are to be given in conditions as close as possible to the actual assessments, including time limits.

7th Grade Reading CBA January 2014 Assessment Correction-

The paragraph numbering on the CBA is off. Please make note of the following corrections.

Question 9:
Original: In paragraph 7, the word savored means —
Change: In paragraph 8, the word savored means –

Question 7:
Original: What are paragraphs 8 through 10 mainly about?
Change: What are paragraphs 9 through 11 mainly about?

English I and English II Assessment Reporting Clarification-

For rubric clarification on the English III and IV Cumulative exam:

  • Short Answer response questions for English III and IV should be scored holistically with the maximum score of 20. Please disregard any specific directions included in the rubric. Bubble Edusoft answer document accordingly.

  • Essays for English III & IV should be scored holistically, use essay rubric as a guide.  Bubble Edusoft document only if essay did not meet minimum expectations.

4th Grade Math CBA January 2014 Answer Key, English and Spanish- The answer to item number 6 was changed from G to J on both the key and in Edusoft prior to scanning. No action is required on your part.

2nd Grade Science CBA January 2014 Assessment Correction, English and Spanish- The answer to item number 3 was changed from A to B on both the posted key and in Edusoft. Please rerun any reports generated before 1:00 PM on January 13. No other action is required on your part.

5th Grade Reading/5th Grade Reading Spanish CBA October 2013 Correction to Online Answer Key- The answer to item number 4 has been changed to H in Edusoft and on the posted Assessment Key. 6th Grade Math CBA October 2013 Correction- Item number 10 on the 6th Grade Math Assessment is missing parenthesis. An e-mail was sent to Department Chairs concerning this omission. Click here for the 6th Grade Math correction.

7th Grade Math CBA October 2013 Answer Key Correction- The answer to item number 12 has been changed to H from G in Edusoft and on the posted Assessment Key. No action is required on your part. Any answer documents scanned on or before October 21 will regrade automatically. Please rerun any reports generated before 3:00 October 21.

7th Grade Science CBA October 2013 Answer Key Correction- The answer to item number 10 has been changed to H from G on the posted Assessment Key. No action is required on your part. The item was correct in Edusoft, so all reports are correct.

Algebra II CBA October 2013 Correction- The first question on the Algebra II assessment is missing parenthesis in the function. An e-mail was sent to Department Chairs, directing them to have teachers add the missing set of parenthesis. Click here for the corrected first page for comparison.

NOTE:

The 8th Grade Science Pretest uses two answer documents- individual student answer sheets for items 1-24 and a single teacher score sheet for the open-ended question #25. BOTH documents must be scanned before the student score will appear correctly in Edusoft.

Copies of the Nine Week Assessments will be posted by the end of the day Thursday, August 29.
