1. 1st Grade Social Studies, English and Spanish, Feb 27-March 1, 2012- There was an error in printing with regard to the lettering of the answer choices for Question 4. When reading the test to your students, please ensure that they bubble next to their desired choice. When transferring the answer to the student answer document, please correct the printing error by bubbling in the corresponding answer on student answer documents. Corrected copies of the assessments are posted to the Assessments tab in the Curriculum Management system and from the following links:

   4. 7th Grade Math, January 2012- On question #6, answer choice J, there should have been an equal sign at the end of the expression instead of a plus sign.  Answer choice J should read “0 + (-5) + 2 = -3” instead of “0 + (-5) + 2 + -3”.  Please point out this error to students, display the correct expression on the board for answer choice J and have them make this correction before they start the assessment. The Math Department sent an email out to all 7th Grade Math teachers on January 4th about this issue.

   In order to best address this matter, we are assigning a “0” point value to the #11 on the English 2 Reading 9 WK Oct 11 assessment. 
   
   In addition, we have created a separate answer sheet to record the results using a 0-3 point rubric for ONLY question #11. Teachers will need to print this additional answer sheet entitled: English 2 Reading Question 11 – 9-Wk Oct 11

4. English I and English II Writing October 2001 9 Week Assessments The two assessments are incorrectly labeled. This information was communicated to English Department Chairs by the Reading/Language Arts department via email and to campus administrators by phone. Please make arrangements to give the correct assessment to your students.
   • English I Written Composition is actually English II Written Composition.
   • English II Written Composition is actually English I Written Composition.

1. October 2011 9 Week Assessment Answer Documents are now available in Edusoft. You may log in and print answer documents for these assessments. The assessment window is October 17-21, 2011. The Scanning Window is October 17-24, 2011. The deadline for scanning is OCTOBER 24 at 5:00 PM.

1. Math Universal Screenings are now available in Edusoft. You may log in and print answer documents for these assessments. They are accessible on the Benchmark Exams tab under Assessments, Show Current section. Click once to choose the 2011-12 Assessments folder, then the Math Universal Screenings folder. Choose the desired assessment in the left pane and click Print Answer Sheets at the bottom of the window. The assessment window is September 6-23, 2011.

1. Math Universal Screenings will be available in Edusoft soon. In the Current Assessments folder, choose the 2011-12 Assessments folder, Math Universal Screenings folder. Choose the desired assessment in the left pane and click Print Answer Sheets at the bottom of the window.

1. Science Pre-tests (5th Grade English and Spanish, 8th Grade) have been sent via the Pony to your campus Principal, Attention Science Department Chair. Your campus should have received them Monday, August 29, 2011. If you have not received them, please contact the Curriculum Management Department at 354-4385 as soon as possible. The answer documents are avaiable in Edusoft. The scoring rubric is available on the Assessments tab in the Curriculum Managment System and by clicking below:

2. Science Pre-test Answer Documents are available through Edusoft (www.edusoft.com) - Click on Benchmark Exams Tab, Assessments, and the 2011-12 Assessments, Science Pre-Tests folder. Locate the assessment and click on Print Answer Sheets.
   
   
3. The 2011-12 SAISD Class Rosters have been uploaded into Edusoft. The rosters are being automatically updated at least twice a week. Please contact the Curriculum Management Department at 354-4385 if you notice any discrepancies in your rosters.
