Collaboration and Communication
Our implementation of shared site-based decision making continues according to the plan adopted
in January 1994. Campuses and ILTs need to be empowered with more decision-making
responsibility, especially in the areas of budgeting and staffing. Our site-based decision making
plan and the decision-making matrix need to be revisited and revised. The new structure of the
District must be monitored to ensure that the organization, all of its members, and all of its clients
will have opportunities to constantly learn and improve. We must foster more collaboration and
better communication with all our stakeholders and employees. We need to learn how to manage
and thrive on change.
