Definition Instruction designed for adults of limited English proficiency. ESL consists of integrated listening, speaking, reading and writing instructions. Purpose The purpose of the ESL component is to provide instruction in English as a Second Language to adults who are not able to communicate well in English. This will alleviate some of the barriers people with limited English encounter and will improve their ability to function effectively in everyday life. |
