Information: Gregg Williams is presently the assistant athletic director for the boys program, but will be retiring effective June 30, 2010. He is originally from San Marcos, Texas and attended public school there. He received his B.A degree from Southwest Texas State University in 1974 and completed his Masters degree at Our Lady of the Lake University in 1980.

He began his teaching/coaching career with the San Antonio Independent School District in 1974 as the freshmen football coach at Edison High School. He became the head football coach at Edison in 1981. Through his career as head coach his football teams made five playoff appearances, won two district championships, and one bi-district championship.

Gregg became assistant athletic director in 1995 and relocated to the central athletic department. The sports that he works with include: football, basketball equipment and baseball. Some of his duties and responsibilities are supervising athletic events, athletic equipment, working with athletic coordinators, inventories, scheduling, travel for athletic teams, official’s payments and UIL issues.

Some of Gregg’s hobbies are hunting as much as he can and when he can't hunt, he fishes or just relaxes in front of the television. His wife Sue takes cares of him and their two children Lindy and Robert.
