Campus Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
- Report issues involving (plumbing, AC, roof / window) leaks to Plant Services Dispatch (@ 299-2686) as soon as practicable.
- Inform the Dispatch operator that the work order request involves IAQ concern(s).
- Check all areas / spaces of the campus for leaks, high humidity or other IAQ concerns on a routine (at least monthly) basis, especially before and after long weekends and staff holidays / breaks
- Whenever conditions permit, open windows near "older re-circulating" unit ventilators to provide "fresh" outdoor air into the classroom or office area.
- Keep ventilation system vents / grills clear.
- Minimize allergens (including chemicals, animal dander, etc.) in the classroom or office.
- Take personal items home at the end of each school year.
- Clean items (e.g., stuffed toys, furniture, etc.) used by students and staff regularly.
- Remove posters from walls on a routine basis (e.g., monthly) especially prior to the winter break and at the end of the school year.
