The mission of the SAISD Fine Arts Department is to educate, challenge, and inspire our students through the fine arts, thereby enabling them to reach their artistic, creative, and expressive potential.
The Fine Arts Program Initiative ensures exemplary programs in Music, Art, Theatre, and Dance using the SAISD Fine Arts Scope and Sequence. At the Elementary level, the District's primary fine arts focus is Music; Art and Theater TEKS are integrated through the core subjects. At the Secondary level, students continue TEKS based studies while participating in performances, shows, and competitions in a wide variety of programs, including Band, Choir, Orchestra, Mariachi, Art, Theatre, and Dance.
