Our Mission
To graduate all of our students and prepare them for success in higher education.

Math in SAISD
Grades K - 5: Elementary Mathematics
Grades 6-8: Middle School Mathematics (including Algebra I)
Grades 9-12: High School Mathematics (Algebra I, Geometry, Math Models*, Algebra II, Precalculus, AP Statistics, Calculus AB, Calculus BC and Advanced Quantitative Reasoning).
Some campuses offer other mathematics courses.
*Math Models and Applications must be taken prior to Algebra II.
Our Goals
- Provide a rigorous curriculum that is relevant, research-based and focused on student learning.
- Implement a variety of professional development opportunities for all stakeholders designed to increase content knowledge and instructional practice in order to increase student learning.
- Monitor the teaching and learning of mathematics to ensure all students are provided an equitable mathematics education.
