 Our Vision

To ignite passion and excitement in the math learning community, determined to positively influence the life of every student.  Through student engagement, rigor and relevance in mathematics, our teachers will develop students as critical thinkers and lifelong problem solvers, empowering all students to achieve success in career and life.

Mathematics in SAISD

Grades K - 5: Elementary Mathematics

Grades 6-8: Middle School Mathematics (including Algebra I)

Grades 9-12: High School Mathematics (Algebra I, Geometry, Math Models*, Algebra II, Precalculus, AP Statistics, Calculus AB, Calculus BC and Advanced Quantitative Reasoning).

Some campuses offer other mathematics courses.

*Math Models and Applications must be taken prior to Algebra II.

Our Goals

• Provide a rigorous curriculum that is relevant, research-based and focused on student learning.
• Implement a variety of professional development opportunities for all stakeholders designed to increase content knowledge and instructional practice in order to increase student learning.
• Monitor the teaching and learning of mathematics to ensure all students are provided an equitable mathematics education.
