Welcome to the Office and Technical Support's web page. The goal of this office is to provide prompt and professional service to the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD). This involves the technical and networking support for over 32,000 personal and laptop computers. This also includes the support of the District's E-Rate and Bond programs. The E-Rate program is governed by the Federal Communications Commission and provides discounted telecommunications and data networking funding for impoverished public school districts throughout the United States. This office's role in this endeavor is to process the appropriate paperwork, complete the required audits, and oversee the various networking projects that include data cabling, wireless installation, and voice over IP (VOIP) connectivity. To date, SAISD has qualified for and received over $70 million in E-Rate funding. In the Bond area, this office provides current networking specification to be included in new school construction and old school renovation.
