Courses for New Teachers!
If you are a new teacher with less than two years in the profession,
the Foundations of Effective Teaching
course is for you!
This four-day course offers new teachers in-depth information about and techniques for effective classroom management. The Office for Professional Learning will cover the cost of substitutes for the days first-year and second-year teachers attend this course.
Graduates of Foundations will benefit from the follow-up course,
Managing Anti-Social Behavior.
This two-day course presents research on emotional and behavioral problems of students who act out consistently. Participants will learn strategies to reduce and/or prevent the occurrence of disruptive or dangerous outbreaks.
