The purpose of the Grants for Student Clubs is to grant funds to eligible school districts to continue, establish, and/or expand students clubs and related programs. These effective strategies can reduce the dropout rate and increase student success. Evidence and research suggest that students, particularly those who are economically disadvantaged or at-risk, often feel disengaged from classroom academics and school community as a whole. Student clubs that are designed to meet student interests and reinforce academic goals can be an effective means of providing a successful school experience.
