First high schoolers in city to earn OSHA 30 certifications

Construction students at Sam Houston High School ended the 2018-2019 school year by being the first high schoolers in the city to earn OSHA 30 certifications from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. To earn the certification, the students had to go through rigorous training and pass a test. The training opportunity can help them land paid internships. Read more.

SAISD graduate2019_web teaserThis year, each SAISD graduate received a yellow rose - a symbol of Texas. The graduate could keep it or give it to someone who was a major influence in their education such as a parent, grandparent, relative, mentor or teacher.

SummerCamps2019_web teaserSummer camps are happening Districtwide! At Longfellow Middle School, LOTC students were introduced to drone technology. Students trained via a flight simulator and learned to code a drone to achieve assigned flight paths.
