Students from 3 SAISD schools headed to state science competition

Eleven science projects created by students from Fox Tech High School, the Young Women’s Leadership Academy and Harris Middle School will advance to the state Exxon Mobil Texas Science and Engineering Fair, which kicks off at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on Saturday, March 28. Their projects will be judged among the best from throughout Texas. Read more.

We are proud to highlight another student success: Jefferson HS standout theater student David Rudy Perez is a finalist in the Musical Theatre category of the Las Casas Performing Arts Scholarship Competition! Winners of this competition are selected each year by nationally acclaimed theater professionals. The final performances and award presentations will take place during The Joci Awards on Sunday, April 26 at 6 p.m. at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre.
