SAISD Superintendent to host community meetings about blueprint

San Antonio ISD Superintendent Pedro Martinez will host eight community meetings, including one in Spanish, to outline the strategies and programs that the District will use to ensure that many more of SAISD’s 53,000 students are performing at higher levels. RichardCashwebRichard Cash, internationally known Gifted & Talented expert, led a daylong training for a number of SAISD departments Feb. 4. His visit is part of the District’s effort to expand and enhance the Gifted & Talented services offered to students, starting in 2016-17.




SamDecathwebFor the fifth year in a row, the team has advanced to the state competition, in the small schools category. The team placed 3rd overall and 3rd in Team Super Quiz at a regional meet in Corpus Christi. Overall, the team is ranked 5th in Texas.
