San Juanita Rodriguez

San Juanita Rodriguez (Lanier) PS

San Juanita will graduate from Lanier High School, with recognition as president of the National Honor Society. She has been accepted to the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, where she plans to study business administration.

A member of the JROTC, she considers becoming battalion commander her biggest high school accomplishment. The position has allowed her to make a difference in her cadet’s lives and to bond them together as a family. She has earned six medals and 30 ribbons during her tenure as a member of JROTC.

In addition to JROTC, San Juanita has been involved in Academic Decathlon and is a Yale Book Award recipient. She has been involved in the school’s Business and Banking magnet program and served as an intern for Alamo Federal Credit Union. Outside of school, she has volunteered at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, Tafolla Middle School, Special Olympics at the elementary school level and the AT&T Championship Golf Tournament.

She hopes to make a difference in the world by starting in her community. She plans to return to San Antonio to give back to a community in which she has much pride by inspiring students to reach for their dreams and highest goals.

This summer, she plans to find a job at a credit union to help cover college costs.
