The solemn strains of Pomp and Circumstance will soon have special significance for a very special group of graduates and their family and friends. This song not only will signify a commencement ceremony tradition, but also will represent the sweet sound of success for students who had once dropped out of high school.Among them will be Cooper Academy’s 400th graduate who will provide a testimonial on what this milestone and the opportunity to earn her diploma through attending this school means to her. She is one of about 110 members of Cooper’s class of 2012, approximately 80 of which are expected to participate in Monday’s commencement ceremony.Cooper has served as an alternative high school for former dropouts since 2008-09.
