Oct. 25 (Fri) — Dance Away from Drugs Red Ribbon Week kickoff
9:45 a.m. at Page Middle School, 401 Berkshire Ave.
A Zumba dance group has been invited to lead the Page Ponies in kicking up their heals as part of the annual nationwide Red Ribbon Week anti-drugs awareness campaign.
Oct. 26 (Sat) — Annual SAISD Social Studies Fall Conference
8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Education Service Center, Region 20, 1314 Hines Ave.
Keynote speaker will be San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro and Globey awards will be presented to SAISD’s social studies teachers of the year. The 13th-annual conference to include sessions, hands-on interactive lessons and exhibits is sponsored by the District’s Department of Social Studies.
