Castro - Head ShotEmilio Castro, Deputy Superintendent of Learning & Teaching, oversees and provides leadership for instructional programs and the operation of all learning and teaching activities. The 19-year educator has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, area superintendent, superintendent and leadership consultant.

Most recently, Castro led professional learning and leadership development at Lewisville ISD. Previously, he spent 13 years with Dallas ISD and 2 1/2 years with Kingsville ISD as superintendent. Mr. Castro has a master’s of education in educational administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas.
