Overview Information

  • Formal registration for 2014-15 took place in late July and early August, but you can still register your child for the upcoming school year at the school your child will attend. It is best to contact the campus to find out if there are specific times to register.
  • Find which school your child should attend with the address lookup feature
  • Find the phone number and address for your child's school
  • Find important back-to-school information.
Registration Forms
Below are links to the required registration forms for all grade levels. Please find the appropriate link below, complete the forms and bring them to registration at your campus. 

K-12 Registration Document Checklist
Bring these documents with you to registration:

Returning students
□ Child's immunization record (up-to-date immunization records)
□ Proof of SAISD residence (utility bill, phone bill, lease agreement, etc.)
□ Photo ID (driver's license, military ID, etc.) of person registering the child

New students
□ Photo ID (driver’s license, military ID, etc.) of person registering the child
□ Proof of SAISD residence (utility bill, phone bill, lease agreement, etc.)
□ Child’s birth certificate or other proof of child’s identity and age
□ Child’s Social Security card, if available
□ Child's immunization record (up-to-date immunization records)
□ Recent academic records (report card, withdrawal form, transcript, etc.)

Families who do not have their own homes or have been displaced and students who are in foster or kinship care may register without these documents. Please contact the Family & Student Support Services at 210-554-2635 for assistance.

Pre-K Registration Information
  • On-going registration at the school your child will attend.
  • To be eligible for SAISD’s early child education program, your child must:
    • Be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1, 2014 (4-year-olds will be given first priority; 3-year-olds will be admitted only if space is available after all eligible 4-year-olds have been admitted.).
    • Live within SAISD boundaries.
    • Meet qualifications for Pre-K program.
    • Applications will be reviewed for both the Pre-K and Head Start programs.

Pre-K Registration Document Checklist

Bring these documents with you to registration:
□ Child’s up-to-date immunization record
□ Child’s Social Security card
□ Child’s birth certificate or other proof of child’s identity and age
□ Proof of residence (rental contract or utility bill with valid address)
□ Proof of income (12 months of income, including current TANF or SNAP award letter)
□ Photo identification of person registering the child
□ Proof of guardianship or custody, if available (court orders, foster letter, Child Protective Services paperwork)Families who do not have their own homes or have been displaced and students who are in foster or kinship care may register without these documents. Additional Registration Forms

Below is a list of forms that are not required for registration but that may be necessary for certain parents to enroll their child.  Each of these forms must be notarized.  If you have any questions about these forms, please contact the school your child will attend.

Your campus may have a staff member who can act as a notary public for you.  If they do not, you may contact Adriana De Leon in the Human Resources Department at 554-8480 for assistance with notarized documents.
