Feb.25 (Sat) — SAISD ‘F.A.C.E. of Success’ resource community fair
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wheatley Community School, 415 Gabriel St.
Community partners from more than 50 organizations and service providers will be on-site to offer children’s activities, program information and lead hands-on workshops on a variety of topics to include college and career awareness, community and leadership awareness, financial literacy, leading healthy and active lives and more. Families will be able to enjoy arts and crafts,
Feb. 28 (Tues) — Black History Month program
10 a.m. at the Advanced Learning Academy at Austin Academy, 621 Euclid Ave.
Guest will be Mayor Ivy Taylor, who will speak to students in grades kinder through 3rd on importance of education and pursuing their dreams.
March 2 (Thurs) — Girls Inc. to host CAST Tech High School information session
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Girls Inc. of San Antonio, 1209 S. St. Mary’s St.
A girls-only session will be held during which female professionals in the high-demand career fields of information technology and business will speak on the benefits of attending SAISD’s CAST Tech High School, set for an August debut for incoming freshmen from throughout Bexar County. When open, the school will focus on preparing students for careers in technology, business and entrepreneurism and more.
Free family fitness classes
Feb. 27 thru March 2 — 5:30 p.m. at the SAISD schools listed below.
The popular Zumba dance fitness program classes are free and offered in partnership with Health Collaborative, a local network of citizens, community organizations and businesses. Upcoming sessions will be:

● March 1 (Wed) – at Whittier Middle School, 2101 Edison Drive
