April 22 (Sat) — Fiesta Zumba-thon
9 to 11 a.m. at the Alamo Convocation Center, 110 Tuleta Drive
The community is invited to enjoy Zumba and other fun activities and take advantage of health screenings and other resources. Fiesta Zumba-thon is free and open to the public.

April 24 and 27 — Latin American Heritage Society Royal Fiesta Court visits
Times and the SAISD schools are listed below.
Students at several SAISD schools will be treated to visits from Fiesta royalty, including the following:

● April 24 (Mon) – 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Baskin Elementary, 630 Crestview Drive
● April 24 (Mon) – 10 to 11 a.m. at Tynan Early Childhood Education Center, 925 Gulf St.
● April 24 (Mon) – 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Hawthorne Academy, 115 W. Josephine St.
● April 24 (Mon) – 2 to 3 p.m. at Maverick Elementary, 107 Raleigh St.
● April 27 (Thurs) – 10 to 11 a.m. at Carvajal Early Childhood Education Center, 225 Arizona St.

April 27 — (Thurs) Recycled Trash Fiesta Parade
2:40 p.m. at Woodlawn Academy, 1717 W. Magnolia Ave.
In celebration of Earth Day, students will create floats and garments out of recycled items to be showcased during a parade. Participants will include winners of the school’s king and queen contest, who will be joined by San Antonio’s Fiesta Charro Queen.

April 27 (Thurs)—Battle of Flowers Band Festival
6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Alamo Stadium, 110 Tuleta Drive
Bands representing seven SAISD high schools will be among the participants.

April 28 (Fri) — Battle of Flowers Parade Day
All District schools and most offices will be closed.

Free family fitness classes
April 24-27 — 5:30 p.m. at the SAISD schools listed below.
The popular Zumba dance fitness program classes are free and offered in partnership with Health Collaborative, a local network of citizens, community organizations and businesses. Upcoming sessions will be:

● April 24 (Mon) – at Burbank High School, 1002 Edwards St.
● April 25 Tues) – at Jefferson High School, 723 Donaldson Ave.
● April 26 (Wed) – at Whittier Middle School, 2101 Edison Drive
● April 27 (Thurs) – at Herff Elementary, 996 S. Hackberry St.
● April 27 (Thurs) – at Tafolla Middle School, 1303 W. César E. Chávez Blvd.
