April 16 (Mon) – School Board meeting B
5:30 p.m. at the Burnet Center, 406 Barrera St.
April 17 (Tues) – International Baccalaureate community project showcase
9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Harris Middle School Hawk Center, 325 Pruitt Ave.
8th grade students in the Middle Years Programme of Harris Middle School, an IB World School-candidate, will showcase their personal community projects. These are a capstone projects, which have included 15 hours of service, action or research.
April 17 (Tues) – International Baccalaureate Night
5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Academy, 1717 W. Magnolia Ave.
Students in the Middle Years Programme of Woodlawn Academy, an IB World School, will showcase projects, which include Holocaust memorials, three-dimensional projects, art displays, band performances and athletic demonstrations. Participants also will be able to sample food from around the world.
April 18 (Wed) – Noche del Mariachi
7:30 p.m. at San Antonio College McAllister Auditorium, 1300 San Pedro Ave.
The mariachi ensembles from Irving Middle School and Fox Tech High School/Advanced Learning Academy will be special guest performers during this concert.
April 20 (Fri) – Citywide College Signing Day
10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Alamo Convocation Center, 110 Tuleta Drive
High school seniors from throughout the San Antonio area will connect and network with each other, giving them a chance to meet their cohorts who will be attending the same colleges and universities. All San Antonio residents are requested to wear college t-shirts on this day in support of the city’s college-going seniors.
April 21 (Sat) – Fiesta Zumbathon
9 a.m. to noon at Alamo Convocation Center, 110 Tuleta Drive
The popular Zumba dance fitness program offered in partnership with Health Collaborative is hosting a special Fiesta event. The session will include free Zumba, kids’ activities, health screenings, free resources and prize giveaways. Fiesta medals also will be for sale.

The popular Zumba dance fitness program classes are free and offered in partnership with Health Collaborative, a local network of citizens, community organizations and businesses. Upcoming sessions will be:

● April 16 (Mon) – 4:30 p.m. at Rhodes Middle School, 3000 Tampico St. (Note different time)
● April 17 (Tues) – at Young Women’s Leadership Academy, 2123 W. Huisache Ave.
● April 18 (Wed) – at Whittier Middle School, 2101 Edison Drive
● April 19 (Thurs) – at Herff Elementary, 996 S. Hackberry St.
