April 12-17 – High school visual art exhibition
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon-Sat; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, at Southwest School of Art, 300 Augusta St.
Students enrolled in SAISD high schools were selected by their art instructors to participate in this exhibition, which features a variety of media including painting, drawing, ceramics, and digital media.

April 13 (Sat) – Experience Summer in SAISD resource fair
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SAISD Convocation Center, 110 Tuleta Drive
San Antonio ISD will host its first Districtwide summer resource fair with more than 80 exhibitors – titled Experience Summer in SAISD. The District will highlight the full range of summer options available to students at one event, from camps and learning opportunities to college and career readiness resources. Free health screenings also will be available.

April 13 (Sat) – Easter egg hunt
10 a.m. at the Burbank High School Farm, 1002 Edwards St.
Families are invited to bring children and their baskets to an Easter egg hunt, hosted by the Burbank High School Future Farmers of America (FFA). Gates open at 9 a.m. and the hunt begins at 10 a.m. Egg hunts will be held for a younger and an older age group. The event includes games, food and a petting zoo. Parking is available at the sports complex with a hayride to the farm. Admission is $2 for ages 2 and older.

April 15 (Mon) – School Board Meeting B
5:30 p.m. at the Burnet Center, 406 Barrera St.

April 16 (Tues) – SAISD college fair
10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at San Antonio College, Gym, 1819 N. Main Ave.
San Antonio ISD high school students and alumni will have the opportunity to meet with college representatives from around the country.

April 17 (Wed) – JROTC academic competition
5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Highlands High School, JROTC Room, 3118 Elgin Ave.
All seven of San Antonio ISD’s JROTC units will go head-to-head in an annual academic competition. Cadets will be tested on their knowledge of the JROTC curriculum, current events, and our nation’s leaders. The top three programs will be recognized at the end of the competition.

April 18 (Thurs) – Commissioned painting gifted to high school
2:45 p.m. at Brackenridge High School, 400 Eagleland Drive
Frost Bank, who had a painting commissioned for its 150th anniversary celebration, will now gift the painting to Brackenridge High School. The painting, which is of an eagle, will be presented to the school, whose mascot is the eagle. Brackenridge also recently celebrated its centennial anniversary. 

April 15-18 – Free family fitness classes
Evenings at the SAISD schools listed below.
The popular Zumba dance fitness program classes are free and offered in partnership with Health Collaborative, a local network of citizens, community organizations and businesses. Upcoming sessions will be:
● April 15 (Mon) – 5:30 p.m. at Burbank High School, 1002 Edwards St.
● April 17 (Wed) – 5:30 p.m. at Rogers Academy, 620 McIlvaine St.
● April 18 (Thurs) – 5:45 p.m. at Herff Academy, 996 S. Hackberry St.
