Schenck - Autism


Schenck ES students, parents and special education staff do their part to increase awareness of autism by participating in the 10th annual Walk for Autism, sponsored Any Baby Can.


Lanier Poetry


Posing with a banner welcoming them to the Lanier HS Poetry Festival are students from the feeder middle schools. Participants performed original works and winners were selected by popular vote.


Hirsch Science


Hirsch ES students celebrate Fiesta by holding a science vocabulary parade. In preparation, each youngster was assigned a word to define and present in a Fiesta theme.



Jeff JROTC lay wreaths


Standing guard at the Alamo for the annual Pilgrimage Ceremony are Jefferson HS JROTC cadets, who also assisted in laying wreaths.


Bonham playground


Workers put the final touches on the Bonham Academy playground last week. Progress on bond renovations is continuing at the school, and the playscape was moved to accommodate that, with students being able to use it this week.


Maverick King Antonio visit


Maverick ES principal Linda Nance thanks King Antonio XCII Donald E. Miller Jr. and his entourage for encouraging students to achieve their dreams and providing the school a copy of the Linda Kranz book “You Be You.”


DeZaval Roller Derby visit


Members of the Alamo City Rollergirls, the all-female flat track competitive roller derby league, make an appearance at De Zavala ES on April 21 to motivate students for the STAAR, which they will take April 22 and 23.

Schenck shoe box parade


Schenck ES students get into the Fiesta spirit on April 17 with a Shoe Box Parade, where their creative talents are showcased in the form of floats made from shoe boxes.


King Antonio at Bonham


King Antonio XCII De Miller and his court present Bonham Academy students with Texas Cavalier medals for the school April 17, along with a message of "You Be You," the title of a children's book about how difference can be beautiful.

Brackenridge HS TV Dinner
