May 22 (Fri) — ‘100 Years of Education’ celebration and carnival
10 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. at Beacon Hill Elementary School, 1411 W. Ashby Place
The morning ceremony will feature speakers, performances by the Edison High School JROTC, percussion band and award-winning Honey Bear dance team. Gifted and Talented student projects on the theme “100 Years of Change” will be on display, and the burial of a time capsule is planned. Capping the celebration will be an afternoon carnival.
