The Met: HD Live in Schools program
Noon at Regal Cielo Vista Stadium 18, 2828 Cinema Ridge “Madama Butterfly,” a three-act opera by Giacomo Puccini, is the third of four live opera broadcasts participating District 8th-grade choir students and their directors will see this semester. SAISD is among 18 school districts nationwide selected to participate in this program that provides opportunities to experience New York’s Metropolitan Opera performances beamed directly from the Lincoln Center. Participation in the program is part of a comprehensive fine arts lesson including vocals, music, history, set design, costuming and theater.
