‘Rising Star’ award ceremony
4:30 to 6 p.m. at Jefferson High School, 723 Donaldson Ave.
In the first of what is intended to be an annual event, awards will be presented to three outstanding first-year teachers, representing elementary, middle and high school-levels. The trio will be selected from a field of 47 nominated by their principals.
