Vocabulary: Building a word wall from words found in our reading.

Reading: Short stories, poetry, and an independent novel. Students will document their reading by taking Cornell notes.

Novel 3rd 9-weeks: Tangerine

Grammar: Daily Oral Language, and selected Grammar, Usage and Mechanics exercises.

Writing: Emphasis on writing a two page, 4-5 paragraph composition.

Read a self selected book or the assigned novel for 30 minutes every night and document using Cornell Notes.
