This nine weeks in my class...

Students will:
-Continue to grow in their knowledge of 7th Grade Mathematics.
-Investigate how proportions and algebraic equations can be used to solve problems.
-Investigate how to convert between whole numbers, percents, decimals, and fractions, and how to use whole numbers, percents, decimals, and fractions to solve problems.
-Classify pairs of angles as complementary or supplementary, and classify triangles and quadrilaterals.
-Investigate how to use geometric concepts and properties to solve problems in art and architecture.
-Sketch three-dimensional figures when given the top, side, and front views.
-Use properties to classify three-dimensional figures, including pyramids, cones, prisms, and cylinders.
-Investigate formulas that can be used to calculate the volume of three-dimensional figures, including pyramids, cones, prisms, and cylinders.



This Nine Weeks' Homework:

Students will receive homework assignments 2-4 days each week. Homework assignments will be due at the beginning of class on the following school day.


Upcoming Tests:
Mini-Interim Test every 3 weeks. District Interim Test every 9 weeks. Unit Tests will be assigned as needed to assess students' mastery of concepts.

Daily Conference Time: 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
