Student Council

Student Council meets every Wednesday from 3-4 p.m.. Members must be in grades 3-5 Each classroom elects one male and one female representative. To stay active in Student Council, members must maintain an A-B average and receive high citizen marks on their report cards.

Members assist school personnel in multiple tasks like attendance calendar pick up, escorting new students to classrooms, helping in the library, etc. They also assist with special projects like the Bike Rodeo. Student Council conducts two service projects each year. Last year, we did a coin drive for the Make a Wish Foundation and we hosted a teacher social for Valentine's Day. We also take an end of the year fieldtrip. In the past, we have traveled to the state capitol in Austin and to the NASA Space Center in Houston.
