Membership

PTA Membership dues are $5.00 per person for the 2006-2007 school year. This year's membership theme is “ Mission Possible”. With your membership you also become a member of Texas PTA and National PTA. We encourage all parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers and community members to join PTA. Join PTA and make a positive difference in the life of every child at Beacon Hill Elementary school .

PTA Meeting Schedule

The lst PTA meeting of this school year is scheduled for Tuesday, September 6 h at 6:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. We will have an officer installation, principal's report, fundraiser information, and other important school and district news. Refreshments will be served. The school Open House night is from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Be sure to stay for PTA afterwards.

Spirit Day Tee Shirts

PTA will be ordering Spirit Day Tee Shirts that may be worn on Fridays. The price of these tee shirts will be $4.00 - $5.00. Order forms will be sent home soon.

Fall Fundraiser

Our Winter Wonderland Catalog sale will begin on August 22 nd and ends on September 7 th . All orders and money are due on September 7 th . There are no door to door sales. Your participation is greatly appreciated. The profits from our PTA fundraiser help fund special school and classroom projects. Last year's fundraiser helped purchase accelerated reading books for our library, awards/medals for our students, and three PC converters for our teachers to use in their classrooms.

Reflections - Arts in Education Program

The theme for this year's program is: My favorite place is . . . . Students may submit entries in the areas of Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts and two new categories Dance Choreography and Film/Video. Look for more information to come.

Box Tops for Education

Once again we are asking everyone to collect box tops coupons from your grocery boxes/bags of participating products. Students can submit their coupons to their teacher.

Save the Dates of February 9 – 11, 2007

The Texas PTA 98 th Annual Convention will be held in San Antonio , Texas . This is an opportunity to learn more about PTA and meet other PTA members from across the State.
