Math and Science Research Project

Trinity University is in it's second year of a grant with Brewer Elementary. Representatives Beatriz Font Strawhun, math specialist, and Jeff Nordine, science specialist, are collabrating with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teachers to create engaging student learning and lessons that incorporate current learning theory. Together, Brewer and Trinity University, are working to prepare students for their long journey as learners in elementary, middle school, high school, and beyond.

Trinity Interns

Trinity has furthered its commitment to Brewer students' learning by placing two full-time interns in our kindergarten classrooms. Miss Eloisa Flores and Miss Taylor are working with Mrs. Moreno and Mrs. Jensen-Garibay

  UTSA Partnership

The University of Texas created the Classroom apprentice Program for students pursuing a degree in education. This program is offered to UTSA students in their second year of course work. It offers students the opportunity to be placed in a public school to see how a real life classroom works. Thank you to UTSA for allowing us to work with their future educators, and for showing Brewer students that education is a life long journey.

Junior Achievement

The Junior Achievement Volunteers are coming to our school! They have aided in teaching work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy to over 70,000 students in south Texas. Volunteers work with teachers and teach 5 fun hands on TEKS based activies.
