Mrs. Barron holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Our Lady of the Lake University with a Major in English and Minor in Spanish.  She also has a English as a Second Language Certification.  In addition, she has obtain Graduate Studies in Educational leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. 

Mrs. Barron has taught English for twenty-three years.  She has taught all grade levels including students in the Pre-International Baccalaureate program at Burbank High School.  Her experience includes working with English teachers as instructional specialist in the Edgewood Independent School District.  She is currently the English Department Chairperson at Burbank High School.  She has enjoyed her role as Distance Learning Instructor at Region 20.  Mrs. Barron is a past recipient of the Harcourt/San Antonio Educational Partnership Award for teaching Excellence as well as the Harvard Book Prize for teaching.  She has been married to Sean Barron for twenty-two years and has two sons ages eighteen and twenty.  She also has a beautiful twenty-five year daughter who is expecting her first child.
