The theme for the year is TEAM! Consider throughout the week all the different roles you play on the various TEAMS you work with. The common goal is SUCCESS
FOR TEAM BURBANK. Our students deserve the very best and when we all work together, our goals are accomplished. In moving TEAM Burbank forward for a
great 2013-2014 school year, let the following thoughts guide your actions with students and all TEAM Burbank members:
We welcome you.
We are happy that you are here.
You are safe here with us.
We will provide you quality learning experiences everyday because at Burbank, everyone’s job is to learn.
Have a wonderful week!
Ms. Cordova
Principal

About Us

In 1937, Luther Burbank Vocational High School became the only school in San Antonio to offer an agriculture program on a 75-
acre student farm laboratory. The high school was named after Luther Burbank (1849-1926), a famous California horticulturist
who introduced more than 800 varieties of plants (fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains, and ornamental flowers). Terrell F. Gates was
the first principal at Burbank HS. His tenure was from 1937 to 1971.
