TARDY POLICY UPDATED

Connell Middle School implemented a new tardy policy effective January 3, 2006. This implementation is in conjunction with the newly released Administrative Procedure F46 regarding student tardies.

Students are required to obtain an admission slip from the Attendance Office upon their return from an absence. The Attendance Office will now operate from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. to issue admission slips. The office will remain closed from 8:15 a.m. until 8:35 a.m. Students who arrive late to school will be assigned ISS for the remainder of the day.

If a student arrives late to any of his/her classes, the following consequences will be assessed:

1. 1 tardy = teacher will issue a warning;

    

2. 2 or more tardies = teacher will assign after-school detention for the following day. Parents will be notified via written notice sent home with the student.
