WELCOME TO THE HOME
OF THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS! 

     My name is Theresa Salinas, and I am grateful for the opportunity I have been afforded to serve as your campus leader.  The 2008-2009 school year is going to be filled with challenging and rewarding educational experiences.  I am committed to aligning our district core values with our campus goals. Our focus this year will be on rigor, relevance and student leadership.   

     A product of the south side of San Antonio, I graduated from McCollum High school.  I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  I began my career in education in 1999 with the Edgewood Independent School District.  I went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of the Incarnate Word and later attended Texas A&M Kingsville where I pursued a Master’s Degree in Science to earn my principal certification.  At John F. Kennedy High School I served as a Reading Teacher for five years and Academic Dean for four years.   

     I would like to take this opportunity to formally invite you into our classrooms.   It is our hope that together, we can ensure the children of our community receive the education they deserve.  Thank you in advance for becoming an integral part of our team- one vision, one mission, and one team committed to taking us there!
