Elida Guerra, Principal
Principal’s Message ~ "Finishing Strong!"
Hello Connell Community,
My Name is Elida Guerra and I am the new Principal at Connell Middle School. I have had the privilege of serving the San Antonio Independent School District community for seventeen years and I am excited to be here. In my first week at Connell, I was able to meet many stu-dents and their parents and look forward to meeting many others very soon.
It is with great pride that I look forward to serving the students, faculty, staff and parents of Connell! My goals are set very high for our students, both academically and in the area of be-havior and responsibility. I am passionate in wanting our students to finish this year strong! I will continue to emphasize student responsibility, and will not tolerate disruptive students, bully-ing, and Student Code of Conduct infractions. The focus and hard work of our teachers and stu-dents and the support of our parents is greatly commended as we strive to make a difference and foster success.
We have a number of goals at Connell Middle School. With a few months left in the school year our great focus is on our state assessments or STAAR. Also at the top of the list includes want-ing every student to develop to his or her maximum potential and to be well prepared to enter high school at the conclusion of the 8th grade year.
I sincerely believe that if the students, parents, faculty and staff all work together this will be a very successful year for our students, our campus, and our community. I am confident that this goal will indeed be achieved and that we will make a difference! We can accomplish great things together, and I am looking forward to finishing the year strong! Please contact us if there is anything we can help you with.
