PALS

The PALS organization is dedicated to the mission of providing leadership and character development to3rd- 5th grade Crockett Students. The students develop these skills through a district-wide training and weekly meetings with their sponsor.  Some of the activities include community and school-wide service projects, peer mediation, school event assistants, and group work.  PALs students practice these leadership skills by being student role models to all their peers.

Library Lunch  Club

Students in the Library Lunch Club meet once a month, on Mondays and read books from the San Antonio Public Library.   These books help students to explore a variety of current books, develop powers of discrimination, and identify their favorite books.  Students discuss and create book critiques about the books they read.  A San Antonio Public Library card is required for this club.

Students are selected from grades 4-5 based on academics and citizenship marks on report cards.  Attendence is manditory at the monthly meetings.   Students who are in good standing will participate in special events throughout the year.

Letter From The Principal

Dear Parents,

My  name is Anna Garcia.  I am the new Principal at Crockett Elementary.  Joining our administrative team this year are our two Assistant Principals, Ms. Jennifer Endara and Ms. Yara Luna.  We look forward to working with you and your child/children.  It is our goal to provide a learning environment in which all students can learn and feel safe.  In order for this to happen, we will need your assistance and support in moving the school forward.  We will be holding Parent-Principal coffees every month and would be very happy if you could join us to discuss any concerns or ideas that you may want to share with us.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Anna Garcia, Principal
