Medical Sciences Magnet Program

The medical sciences program at Fox Tech is designed to best prepare students to succeed in college pre-med programs. Such programs are the foundation for careers in medicine, including: dentistry, veterinary medicine, physician’s assistants, nursing, forensics, microbiology, various kinds of laboratory technicians, and a host of other professions. The course of study prepares students for success in advanced placement biology, chemistry, and calculus. Fox Tech medical science students will be exposed to traditional lectures, interactive classrooms, simulations, and laboratories equipped with the latest technology. Students in the medical sciences magnet are encouraged to take advantage of the resources in the San Antonio community to expand their medical studies. Such hands-on experiences will best prepare Fox Tech students for college by testing their applied knowledge and skills as well as exposing students to the realities of related professions in the medical sciences.

   

Law and Public Policy Magnet Program

The Law and Public Policy program at Fox Tech High School is designed to prepare students to succeed in college pre-law programs. Such programs are the foundation for careers in law, legal studies, criminology, juvenile justice, social work, politics, trial advocacy, and many more. The course of study prepares students for success in advanced placement government and economics. Law and Public Policy students will be exposed to traditional lectures, interactive classrooms, simulations, field observations, and the latest technology for research and analysis in the field. Students in the Law and Public Policy magnet need opportunities to hone their public speaking, research, writing, and analytical skills while applying their knowledge to solve real-world problems in the surrounding San Antonio community. Graduates of the program will be prepared for informed participation in a democratic society, service in the greater community, and continued study at the college level.
