Parent Principal Coffee
Principal Coffee's are held on the first Friday of each month for School Year 2014-2015. Please join us for a great opportunity to learn what is happening at the school and district with Principal Rodriguez and meet other parents. 
Food Distributions
San Antonio Food Bank distributions are one Wednesday a month.  We want all our Hawthorne families to join us for this event. Each family receives approximately 50 lbs of fresh produce. Magnet School Recruitment
High schools will visit our eighth grade students to showcase their magnet programs.  Applications will be distributed to all eighth grade students the last week of September.  The deadline to apply is November 2014

History Fair
Projects will be displayed Dec. 8th in the library. Parents are welcome to come view the projects.  

Spelling Bee
Grade Level spelling bees to be held in November in the gym during PE time. Winners will advance to the schoolwide Spelling Bee to be held in the auditorium in January 2015

STAAR Testing


March 30th:  4th and 7th Writing

March 31st: 4th and 7th Writing; 5th and 8th Reading

April 21st: 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th Math, 8th Social Studies

April 22nd: 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th Reading; 5th and 8th Science

May 4th 8th Algebra End of Course Exam


UIL Competition
