Hillcrest Bully Prevention Program

Almost all children, at some point in their childhood, will experience or be affected by bullying behaviors.  For the safety and welfare of all children and provide a positive learning environment, Hillcrest Elementary has established a school-wide comprehensive bully prevention program.  This program includes the training of staff, students and parents regarding bullying and techniques to deal with bully behavior; opportunities for reporting bullying behavior, and a procedure for responding to reports of bullying.

This page will provide parents, students and staff information regarding bullying and links to websites that can help students deal with bully issues.

It is so very important for children to understand that the most effective way to prevent bullying is to report it.  Students can report bullying in several ways:

  1. Tell an adult on campus that they trust.  The counselor is always receptive to students who need to report these issues.
  2. Students in grades 1-5 have a Bully Box in the class for them to report anonymously by placing a written note in the box.
  3. Parents and students may report online by going to www.reportabully.com Scroll down until you find Hillcrest Elementary School (listed as San Antonio, TX / San Antonio School District / Hillcrest Elem) and click on that.  Complete the report.  An e-mail will automatically be sent to the counselor.
