The Primary mission of the JROTC program is to motivate young people to be better citizens.  The JROTC program is a citizenship awareness, leadership development, organizational management, and “learning-by-doing” course of instruction.  The JROTC program is a two, three, or four year academic program for male and female students (cadets).  Cadets may satisfy their PE requirements by taking JROTC.  JROTC will provide a learning environment which will help all cadets to become better citizens of this nation.

The intent of the program will help cadets:

1) Sharpen communication skills through more reading, writing and oral presentations.

2) Promote and encourage citizenship through participation in community service projects.

3) Develop leadership potential by displaying teamwork skills and being placed in leadership positions.

 4) Strengthen self-esteem through rigorous training and class room instruction.

5) Improve health and physical fitness.

6) Provide incentives to live drug free.

7) Constantly promoting graduation from high school.
