    The Sam Houston Academic Decathlon Team has advanced to State! This past weekend, the team traveled to Corpus Christi, Texas and competed in the 2016 Academic Decathlon Regional Meet. We are so proud to announce that they placed 3rd overall and 3rd in Team Super Quiz. They are currently ranked 5th overall in Texas. This marks the 5th trip to State for the mighty Hurricanes!

The vision of Sam Houston High School and New Tech San Antonio

is to empower our students to excel in higher education and careers in

a technologically advanced society. School culture and

community pride is inspired by trust, respect, and responsibility

while promoting collaboration between our students, staff, families,

and the community.


Our Core Values

Our Students receive a grade of 80% or higher on campus, district, or

state assessments. Our students receive a grade of 82% or higher in

every class they are assigned.
