Ms. Christina Mendiola

    Is currently serving as the 13th principal of Thomas Jefferson High School. She is in her 9th year of service to the school. Her official title is interim principal. She has also served Thomas Jefferson as Academic Dean since 2001.

   Prior to coming to Jefferson Ms. Mendiola served in the following roles:  Whittier Middle School as Assistant Principal from 1996-2000.     6th Grade Life Science at Mark Twain Middle School from 1993-1994.     Administrative Assistant at Horace Mann Middle School from 1994-1995.  As a teacher in Department of Defense Schools she taught 6th Grade Life Science in Garlstadt, Germany from 1988-1990 and 3rd grade  in Ankara, Turkey from 1983-1985.  Before teaching overseas Ms. Mendiola taught 6th Grade Life Science at Page Middle School from 1974 – 1983.

    Christina Mendiola is a graduate of Providence High School, received her Bachelors Degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and earned a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University, Kingsville.

     Ms. Mendiola is a proud supporter of all things Mustang.  She works with the Alumni Association, regularly attends the schools sporting and academic events and supports all school endeavors.  All Mustangs know her well.
