The cost is $60 until Sept. 30; after that the price is $75. Students can make payments but are encouraged to take advantage of the early-bird pricing. Cash or money orders are welcome.

The books will be in full color with 176 pages. QR codes will allow yearbook purchasers to access videos from the school year.

Staff members are already at work now collecting photographs and interviews. The final deadline to submit the book to the publisher is in April with a delivery date set for the last week of May.

Bell Schedule Has Seven Classes

The Jefferson bell schedule has been changed in anticipation of the arrival of portable buildings.

As of the fourth week of school, the schedule was changed to:

The first bell rings at 8:45 a.m. First period is 8:50 to 9:42 a.m.

Second period is from 9:48 to 10:50. This period includes 10 minutes for morning announcements.

Lunch periods are integrated into the third period. First lunch is from 10:50 to 11:22 and class is from 11:28 to 12:26 p.m. Students in second lunch will go to class first, from 10:56 to 11:22 a.m. Lunch is from 11:22 to 11:54 a.m. Students then return to class from noon to 12:26 p.m. Students assigned to third lunch attend class from 10:56 to 11:54 a.m. and then have lunch from 11:54 a.m. to 12:26 p.m. They then have a passing period to fourth period. (Jeff is a closed campus. Students may not leave campus at lunch or any other time unless their parents check them out through the attendance office.)

Fourth period is from 12:32 to 1:24 p.m. Fifth is 1:30 to 2:21 p.m., sixth is 2:27 to 3:19 p.m., and seventh is 3:24 to 4:15 p.m.

Students are reminded that state law requires them to be in class 90 percent of the time.
